Leave the noise behind and ride into the quiet heart of Payette National Forest. With an experienced guide leading the way, you’ll ease into the day, learn the basics, and set a comfortable pace that fits your group. This is about confidence, not speed. And the views? They’re worth every mile. Before we roll, we’ll cover a quick safety briefing and hands-on tips—how to throttle smoothly, corner with control, and ride standing when the terrain calls for it. Your guide keeps an eye on everyone and adjusts the pace, spacing, and route to match conditions and comfort. No pressure. Plenty of encouragement. Expect packed trails most days, a little powder when storms deliver, and scenery that changes with every bend. We'll take a break at the "Hideaway Outpost" at the top of the mountain to warm up by the fire, drink hot cocoa or coffee, swap stories, and listen to the quiet. Fresh, HOT, Grilled Cheeseburgers can be added to complete your experience. We climb first to No Business Mountain for a sweeping look at McCall, Donnelly, and—on a clear day—the far-off Wallowa Mountains in Oregon. You’ll feel the world open up. From there, we trace Blue Bunch Ridge, with big sky and bigger scenery in every direction. Then it’s time to slip into the trees. The trail winds through quiet, snow-laden forest before we descend along Joker Creek, carving gentle turns and soaking in the stillness. At Squaw Flats, we stop to stretch, breathe, and visit a rustic historic cabin that tells the story of this valley. Photos are a must. If the group’s up for it, we can swing back for a second look from No Business before heading to base with full hearts and tired smiles. Beginners are welcome. Families love it. Corporate teams bond here. We handle the route-finding and safety so you can focus on the ride, the views, and the moment. Dress warm, bring your sense of adventure, and come see winter the way it’s meant to be seen. Gratuity is not included and is always appreciated.

Ready to step off the groomed path and into real mountain riding? Choose your challenge: a 3–4 hour or 5–6 hour backcountry snowmobile tour. We follow the Level 1 Joker Creek route, then break away for off-trail adventures that match your skills and appetite for terrain. Expect wide-open travel. Treeless ridges, rolling hillsides, and natural features that invite you to roam. We'll take a break at the "Hideaway Outpost" at the top of the mountain to warm up by the fire, drink hot cocoa or coffee, swap stories, and listen to the quiet. Fresh, HOT, Grilled Cheeseburgers can be added to complete your experience. For advanced riders, we’ll hunt down prime boondocking zones and show you how to thread lines with purpose. If you’re newer to off-trail, we’ll keep it smooth and skill-focused—working on balance, throttle control, and sidehilling at a pace that builds confidence. This is a play-as-you-go ride, tuned in real time to what you and your group want. No pressure. Just progression and fun. Your guide keeps it steady and supportive, reading conditions, choosing safe, rewarding terrain, and sharing practical tips when you want them. You get the freedom of off-trail riding without the guesswork. And the views don’t quit—multiple lakes, nearby cities sparkling in the distance, even sightlines into Oregon on a clear day. You’re ready to push yourself. This advanced, technical tour puts you in real backcountry where skills matter and the views hit hard. It’s not a clinic in a parking lot. It’s the mountain—raw, varied, unforgettable—and you, riding with intention. We pair you with a senior guide who knows the terrain and how to coach without the ego. Before wheels roll, we check in on your goals, dial in setup, and map a route that fits your pace, fitness, and appetite for challenge. Then we adapt on the fly. Because conditions change. So do you. Expect a full day of focused progression. Rock slabs, tight switchbacks, root webs, sidehill exposure, creek crossings, alpine ridgelines—features you’ll learn to read, approach, and clean with confidence. We break sections down, session the crux moves, and build flow. You’ll get clear, practical tips on body position, braking control, traction management, momentum, and line choice. No fluff. Just techniques that stick. Safety isn’t a footnote. We scout lines, set spotters, manage spacing and comms, and keep an eye on weather windows. When the mountain throws a curveball, we have options. The goal is simple: ride more, walk less, and finish stronger than you started. Your day stays rider-first. Want a steady push? We’ll string together a big loop. Prefer to hone specific skills? We’ll spend time where the gains live. Small group or one-on-one—either way, you get hands-on coaching and honest feedback. We'll take a break at the "Hideaway Outpost" at the top of the mountain to warm up by the fire, drink hot cocoa or coffee, swap stories, and listen to the quiet. Fresh, HOT, Grilled Cheeseburgers can be added to complete your experience. Come for the terrain. Leave with new tools, real confidence, and a story worth telling. It’s your ride. We’ll help you make it count. Ready to meet the mountain on its terms?

Chasing the most rewarding ride in the region? Council Bowls is where skilled riders go when they want real terrain, real challenge, and real payoff. It’s raw, unmarked country—no defined trails—so every line counts. If you love precise control, smart line choice, and the rush of reading the land as it unfolds, you’ll feel right at home. You should be comfortable with steep hill climbs, ravine crossings, and side-hilling. That’s the baseline. Because the terrain demands respect, we start by getting a feel for your skills—balance, throttle control, and decision-making—before we commit. It’s quick. It’s thorough. It ensures you’re set up to ride well and have fun. You’ll be paired with our most experienced guides. They know this zone like locals know their front porch. They’ll lead with clear communication, steady pacing, and smart route-finding, always with your safety and momentum in mind. Expect coaching when it helps and space when you’re in the groove. The goal is simple: keep you challenged, confident, and smiling. Conditions can change, and we adapt. We'll take a break at the "Hideaway Outpost" at the top of the mountain to warm up by the fire, drink hot cocoa or coffee, swap stories, and listen to the quiet. Fresh, HOT, Grilled Cheeseburgers can be added to complete your experience. Weather, snow, or rider ability may shift the plan, and that’s okay. We’ll adjust the route, fine-tune objectives, or choose a different zone that delivers the right kind of adventure for the day. You still get an expert-led experience tailored to you and the crew you’re riding with. What you get in return: honest, uncrowded terrain and the satisfaction of earning it. Big bowls. Crisp traverses. Technical features that ask for your best and reward it with an amazing view and a clean line out. If you’re ready to step into advanced, backcountry-style riding with people who’ve got your back, Council Bowls is waiting. Bring your skill. Bring your focus. We’ll bring the know-how and guide you into something unforgettable.
